This website is supported by the Rufford Small Grants Foundation, a new charity established specifically for the development of Rufford Small Grants (RSG) for Nature Conservation. RSG has also supported the logistical requirements of the six field investigations by Jay Mazoomdaar featured in this website. Within the eight years of the RSGs being part of the Rufford Foundation (formerly the Rufford Maurice Laing Foundation), in excess of 900 projects in over 95 countries have been supported. The Rufford Small Grants Foundation intends to build on this success. Mazoomdaar has continued with hard-hitting reportage since. From poaching to forest rights, management to science, man-animal conflict to land use, climate politics to green economics – his investigations and analyses have brought accountability and transparency in the governmental machinery and influenced public policy. Now an independent professional, Mazoomdaar divides his time between writing and making documentary films.
